Of course, the GT — with its 435-hp V-8 — is extra of everything. More noise, more thrust, extra ability — but also more weight and more cash.
1983 saw the return of the Mustang convertible after a nine-year absence. The entrance fascias of all Mustangs were restyled, featuring new grilles, sporting "blue oval" Ford emblems for the primary time.
The Mustang was initially obtainable as both a hardtop or convertible, but during the automobile's early design phases a fastback mannequin was strongly considered. For 1965, the Shelby Mustang was born, obtainable only in a newly introduced fastback body version with its swept-back rear glass and distinctive ventilation louvers. In 1965 they built 15,079 Mustangs that featured the GT Equipment Group. According to Jim Smart production information, the fastback would have been the most common, followed by the coupe after which convertible. For 2015, the GT350 debuted featuring a 5.2 L Flat Plane Crank V8 engine with 526 hp and 429 lb⋅ft (582 N⋅m) of torque. The GT350 is more track centered than the GT500, and was benchmarked towards the Camaro Z28, Porsche GT3, Mercedes-Benz C63, and BMW M4.
